Ask ChatGPT for marketing copy and you get seamless, innovative, and revolutionize. That's not a model problem. Given no constraints, the safest output is the one that could describe anything, and safe is what you asked for.
This prompt makes it commit to specifics first.
The prompt
Before writing copy, answer these in one line each:
1. Who exactly is reading this
2. What do they believe right now
3. What one fact will change their mind
4. What should they do next
Now write the copy using only those four answers. Do not use the words "seamless," "innovative," or "revolutionize."How to use it
Read the four answers before the copy. If they're vague, the copy will be too.
Overwrite any answer that's wrong, then let it write. You know your buyer better than it does.
Add your own banned words. Every industry has three or four.
What it doesn't do
If you can't answer question three yourself, the prompt won't save you. That's a positioning problem, and no amount of rewriting fixes it.
